Profile Summary
The HR operations manager is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of HRO Services (HR Support, Data Management, Payroll Services, Fleet Management and Benefits Administration) in Belgium (EMEA HQ – 200 people), the Netherlands (250 people) and the Nordics (85 people). You support current and evolving HR demands and ensuring HR Services are aligned with the global HR organisational strategy.
You partner with regional and country leadership and managment and advise and consult on strategic departmental issues and their HROS implications.
You will manage a team of 3 HR administrators as well as the external vendors.
The position is based in Brussels en reports into the Regional director HROS.
Principal Responsibilities

Plan the HR Service delivery based on a deep understanding of the regional organization business strategy, along with the integration of the overall global organization strategy. Ensure HR Services alignment between the regional and global organization

Provide quality, standard services to all employees / stake holders.

Partner with Leadership / Managers and consult on strategic departmental issues and their human resource implications. Diagnose and solve day-to-day HR operational challenges.

Provide oversight and support for delivery of large scale HR programs and initiatives and ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Oversee, manage, measure and control the HR Service Delivery via implementation and refinement of models, systems and processes specifically tailored to service the relevant areas.

Monitor, supervise, guide and manage direct reports in their daily operations and development plans

HR Consulting on labor legislation: Work closely with Managers to identify critical Human Resources issues and provide consulting on appropriate HR programs and solutions. Deal with day-to-day employee relations issues

Ensure that any major changes in policies and procedures are immediately communicated within HR and to all employees in the organization

Assure that transactions processed meet quality standards by reviewing the accuracy, proper completion and monitoring output

Manage third party agency relationships

Conduct Compliance auditing for key controls for data integrity in key financial risk areas on a regular basis to ensure data integrity

Partner with the HR Business Partners to resolve inquiries and issues

Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and partner with the appropriate parties to test and implement new improvements.

Work closely with all the stakeholders / departments to ensure the work is done in timely manner, and change is successfully implemented

Coach and guide team members on HR Services and practices and ensure their development
Candidate profile
Our ideal candidate has the following skills and competencies:

Strong leadership skills with a natural interest in people and a pro-active communication style

10 years of experience with HR in an operational role, working with a high volume transactions and payroll. Experience with expatriate workforce is considered a plus.

Able to negotiate internally and externally at senior levels on the selection and deployment of people and processes

Able to drive & compellingly communicate change to ensure continued business success.

Clear and the-point explanation of complex (technical/process/services) topics to non-specialist “clients”.

Able to manage a number of external vendors (payroll, T& A, etc)

Experience in an international environment

Strong understanding of HR Processes and systems (PeopleSoft/SAP, etc.)

An eye for detail combined with the ability to see the big picture

Collaborative, able to work in a matrix environment to engage different functions/experts in support of mission.

Good coaching and change management skills, in order to optimize and develop the team

A customer driven mindset and a focus on results

The potential for future career growth towards a regional HR role

English fluency required
